I am back!

I spent most of my summer hanging out with my dad who came to visit, learned how to stain the deck, wash the house and where to find single screws at Bunnings. In fact I reached a point where I could have started working at Bunnings myself. Screws in isle 9, fence paint isle 16, weed killer isle 20- you get the point ;-).

When I was not DIYing or gardening (or better said watching my dad gardening ;-)) I embraced the warm weather rand enjoyed reading books in my new and heavenly hammock (another dad- daughter project).

Now that the temperatures are dropping and the days are getting shorter, I feel very much like fiddling around with yarn and hook again. I have made some loops out of my new love Alpaca and am currently improving my Tiffany Hat pattern and playing around with new colour combinations. But look for yourself!

Best market ever!

Allright…. So… I was absolutely right to feed the chicken(s) yesterday, because, if I have had the faintest idea of how the market turned out for me and everybody else, I would have COMPLETELY FREAKED OUT!!! Honestly, I can´t remember the last time I could not leave the table to hug a friend and then not be able to get back because a crowd of people had completely blocked my way back (I eventually made it back by crawling underneath the table which surely did not look very elegant with my bum sticking out). Nor can I ever remember that I had a friend (thank you, Steph!!) covering for me while going on a little bathroom break and refilling my water bottle and when coming back five minutes later she had made 5 sales! Crazy, crazy, crazy! I wish every market was like that *sigh, dream*!

Too busy

I really should be finishing items for the Roxy tonight but there is chocolate right beside me. And then there is Facebook where I could catch up on the last couple of weeks in my friends life and oh my god the bathroom could use a clean. And the kitchen. And maybe I should paint the hallway. Or the doors first? But no, first of all I should mow the lawn! The grass is growing up to my hip. And while I am out there I really need to water my veggie garden which suffers in the wind so much. But wait, as soon as I show up in the garden I absolutely first of all need to feed my neighbors choocks because they rely on my and I can´t let them starve! Uhm what was I supposed to do in the first place? Oh, crocheting? Well, forget about that! The WORLD needs me!chicken

Baubles!

I always wanted to make these but this year I finally got the right yarn (mercerized cotton that I got in Germany), found baubles and the time to fiddle around. I very much love my first tries! This is my favorite!Bauble
